If there's a cinematic genre we've grown to appreciate more than ever this year, it's the chick flick. In times of uncertainty, sometimes all you need is some wine, snacks and a rewatch of Mean Girls.
Mean Girls aside, one of the most iconic chick flicks of all time has to be 13 Going on 30. For those of you who haven't seen it (u k hun?), the 2004 hit stars Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo and sees Garner as the grown-up version of Jenna Rink, a 13-year-old-girl whose dream of being "30, flirty, and thriving" came true with the help of some magic dust.

The movie, which has since become a fan-favourite and inspired Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" music video, was absolutely iconic and holds a place in our heart to this day.
Whilst it may feel like just yesterday we were emulating that Thriller dance routine, it's actually been 17 entire years since the film hit cinemas and whilst Garner and Ruffalo are still dominating Hollywood, there's one cast member who has shocked us with her reappearance.
Christa B. Allen starred as 13-year-old Jenna Rink (who could forget that perm and scrunchie?!) - and she's now 30 YEARS OLD.
Christa went viral on TikTok after recently posting a video about her life since, focusing on the question she must hear constantly: "Weren't you the girl in 13 Going on 30?" In the video, Christa reveals that yes, she is said girl, asking fans: "Feel old yet?". Yes Christa, we do.
Fans were left in shock, most notably at her uncanny resemblance to Jennifer Garden. "Never expected her to grow up looking just like Jen," wrote one fan.

Other viewers had plans for a remake. "Imagine if they remade it but after the switch you play yourself as said 30-year-old." One fan asked Christa if she feels "flirty and thriving," - a famous tagline from the movie - and she answered that she's more "flirty and surviving". Same hun, same.
Since her star turn in 13 Going on 30, she starred in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009), A Merry Little Christmas, Medium, Cory in the House, The Suite Life on Deck, Grey's Anatomy, ER, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Wizards of Waverly Place and Cold Case.
