Priyanka Chopra Jonas mourns SP Balasubrahmanyam’s demise; says ‘your songs are a huge part of my childhood memories’ | Hindi Movie News

Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam passed away at a hospital in Chennai on September 25. After battling COVID-19 for 2 months, the veteran singer tested negative for the deadly virus on September 13, but his condition deteriorated over the past days. The entire film industry and fans of the veteran singer are mourning his loss.
Bollywood celebs like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Lata Mangeshkar, Riteish Deshmukh and others have taken to social media to mourn his unfortunate demise.

Amongst everyone, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has also taken to her Instagram handle to mourn the loss of the iconic singer. She shared a picture of SPB on her Instagram story and wrote a heartfelt note. She wrote, “RIP SP Balasubrahmanyam sir. Your songs are a huge part of my childhood memories. Your voice will always be heard and your legacy will live on forever. Yesterday, Akshay had shared a picture with SPB from their last live session and wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Balasubrahmanyam ji.Just a few months back I’d interacted with him during a virtual concert in this lockdown..he seemed hale,hearty & his usual legendary self...life is truly unpredictable. My thoughts & prayers with his family #RIPSPB”



SP Balasubrahmanyam recorded over 40,000 songs in 16 Indian languages and holds the Guinness World Record for recording the highest number of songs by a singer.
