Being locked down throughout much of 2020 undoubtedly resulted in several pregnancies for our favorite celebs.
Whether they welcomed their first child, like Mandy Moore or Wilmer Valderrama, or expanded their tribe, like Alec and Hilaria Baldwin, these celebs saw a new silver lining to 2020 in 2021. Check out baby details, pics and names below.
Morena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie
The “Gotham” actress announced on social media in March that she had given birth to her second child, a baby boy named Arthur.
“2021 is looking up. Welcome to the world Arthur. Trust us, you haven’t missed much yet,” she captioned a photo of her newborn.
Former “O.C.” star Mackenzie added on his own Instagram page, “Welcome to the world, Arthur. Gotta say, your timing is impeccable.”
The couple are already parents to 5-year-old daughter Frances Laiz. Baccarin also shares son Julius with ex-husband Austin Chick.
Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews
Brittany Matthews, the fiancée of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, announced the birth of the couple’s first child, a baby girl named Sterling, in February.
“Sterling Skye Mahomes,” Brittany posted to Instagram, noting the couple’s bundle of joy weighed 6 lbs., 11 oz.
Hilaria and Alec Baldwin
Hilaria and Alec Baldwin welcomed their sixth child together via surrogate this year.
A source confirmed to Page Six that the couple used a surrogate to carry baby girl Lucia — news that came just five months after Hilaria gave birth to son Eduardo.
“We are so in love with our daughter, Lucia,” Hilaria captioned a close-up photo of the new baby. “Just like your brothers and sisters, you are a dream come true.”
Ashley Darby
The “Real Housewives of Potomac” star gave birth to her second child, a son, on March 2.
“Hello my darlings,” Darby said in an update to her Instagram Story from her hospital bed with the newborn on her chest. “Thank you all so much for the kind and warm wishes you sent to us. This is our sweet baby born today, he is absolutely incredible and amazing and we are over the moon excited.”
She and husband Michael Darby also share a son, Dean. Darby has two adult children from a previous relationship.
Kellan Lutz and Brittany Gonzales
The “Twilight” star and Brittany Gonzales — who married in 2017 — announced last February that they’d lost a baby seven months into a pregnancy.
Gonzales, however, wrote on Instagram that they’d finally become parents on February 22.
“The day she came into the world it was snowing, raining, and freezing, but that night she was born and we woke up to sun, clear skies, and winter melting away,” she wrote. “It was so symbolic considering this time last year was literally winter for our souls only to be met one year later with the brightest sunshine. She ushered in a new season for us and we love her beyond comprehension.”
She added, “God redeems. He restores. He never leaves us broken-hearted, we just have to give Him the broken pieces and what He turns it into? Wow.”
Katharine McPhee and David Foster
McPhee welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with husband David Foster, her rep confirmed to Page Six in February.
“Mom, Dad and son are all doing wonderfully,” her rep told People in a statement.
Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith
The “This Is Us” star and husband Taylor Goldsmith welcomed their first child, a son named August Harrison, in February.
“Gus is here,” Moore revealed on Instagram, sharing a photo of the newborn.
“Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined. M + T,” she continued.
Wilmer Valderrama and Amanda Pacheco
Valderrama announced the birth of his first child with Amanda Pacheco, a baby girl, in February.
“Life is an ever-evolving journey, and for all those times when our path needs a light … often angels are sent to show us the way and that we can be more … straight out of heaven we welcome our first daughter … #ItsJustUs3Now 02/15/2021,” Valderrama captioned an Instagram post with his family.
Valderrama’s ex-girlfriend Mandy Moore seemed to be planning some future playdates, commenting, “Look at that gorgeous angel! Congrats to and your beautiful family and can’t wait to meet her!!”
Morgan Stewart
E! personality Morgan Stewart gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Row Renggli, in February.
“Row Renggli McGraw just wanted me to quickly update you guys that after 30 hours, 27 apple juices, & 16 pushes later she decided to join our party!” Stewart wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of her holding her newborn.
She shares the baby girl with beau Jordan McGraw — who is the musician son of TV’s Dr. Phil McGraw.
Kit Harington and Rose Leslie
“Game of Thrones” couple Kit Harington and Rose Leslie — who announced in September 2020 that they were expecting their first child — were photographed in London with their bundle of joy Feb. 16.
Harington’s rep confirmed to Page Six that the couple welcomed a baby boy and are “very, very happy!”
Elsa Hosk
The Victoria’s Secret model and her longtime partner Tom Daly welcomed a baby girl named Tuulikki Joan Daly on Thursday, Feb. 11.
“Happiest day of my life meeting you. Proudest moment in my life giving birth to you,” Hosk wrote on Instagram.
She also explained the origin of her newborn’s unique moniker: “Named after two strong women, my mom and my grandma-in-law, you came into this world like super-woman with your fist next to your face,” the Swedish beauty wrote.
Brandi Redmond
Redmond gave birth to her fourth child, a daughter named Brilynn Mari Redmond, in February. The “Real Housewives of Dallas” star made the announcement via People.
“We are overjoyed with love and beyond blessed [to be] welcoming our little miracle,” Redmond told the outlet. “Brilynn shares a birthday with her late grandmother, who we honor and miss very much.”
She added, “Brilynn has brought so much love and completed our family.”
‘Fat Jew’ Josh Ostrovsky and Caitlin King
Josh Ostrovsky, a.k.a. The Fat Jew, and wife Caitlin King welcomed a baby boy named Buddy Kobe King in February.
King posted a photo to her Instagram of herself breastfeeding her new bundle of joy while enjoying a chicken nugget in the hospital with the caption, “been a crazy couple of days.”
Julia Fox
“Uncut Gems” star Julia Fox announced the birth of her son Valentino via Instagram, revealing that he was born Jan. 17.
The actress has been married to pilot Peter Artemiev since 2018, but they are in the process of divorcing. It is unclear if Artemiev is the father.
Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara
The singer and husband Daryl Sabara welcomed their first child, a son named Riley, in February.
“This sweet baby boy’s due date was today on Valentine’s Day. We got to meet him Monday, Feb 8th!” Trainor wrote on Instagram. “We are SO IN LOVE Thank you @darylsabara for the best Valentine’s gift ever! Welcome to the world Riley!”
The new mom also shared several photos, including a picture of her holding Riley and Sabara giving the couple’s son a bottle.
Nick Kroll and Lily Kwong
Landscape artist Lily Kwong announced the birth of her first child with her husband, “Big Mouth” co-creator Nick Kroll, in February, revealing their baby boy arrived the previous month.
“Welcome to the world little one – our beautiful baby boy joined us earthside on 1/21/21,” Kwong posted to Instagram.
Jenny Slate
The former “Big Mouth” voice actor gave birth to a baby girl, her first child with fiancé Ben Shattuck, she confirmed to Entertainment Tonight early February.
Slate also revealed her newborn’s name: Ida Lupine. The “Parks and Recreation” actress said she and Shattuck “loved the name” Ida, while Lupine comes from their favorite flower.
“Motherhood is the most meaningful thing that has ever happened to me,” she shared with the outlet. “I feel really lucky.”
Joss Stone
Soul singer Joss Stone and boyfriend Cody DaLuz announced the birth of baby girl Violet Melissa DeLuz via Facebook Live.
“I have a very special little bun that I’ve been making for — took about nine months. And, it’s cooked!” Stone said. “Isn’t she sweet?”
Stone said she had a Caesarean section as DeLuz was a “breech baby.”
Vanessa Morgan and Michael Kopech
“Riverdale” star Vanessa Morgan and White Sox pitcher Michael Kopech — who split last year after less than a year of marriage — welcomed a son together in January.
Kopech filed for divorce from Morgan in June 2020 — one month before the actress revealed her pregnancy to the public. The couple had married just months before, in January.
Kelly Rowland
The Destiny’s Child alum welcomed her second son with husband Tim Weatherspoon Jan. 21, announcing the birth of little Noah Jon Weatherspoon via Instagram.
“On the 21st day, of the 21st year, of the 21st Century, Noah Jon Weatherspoon
Greeted us!,” the “Coffee” singer announced. “We are truly grateful 1•21•21, 8:13pm, 7lbs. 8oz, 19in.”
Rowland and Witherspoon have been married since 2014 and also share 6-year-old son, Titan.
Khadijah Haqq
Haqq announced on Instagram that she welcomed her third child with husband Bobby McCray in January.
The baby is the former NFL player’s fourth.
“We love you baby girl, you complete our family!” she captioned a photo of her family’s hands, including that of the newborn. “When 5 becomes 6.”
Stassi Schroeder
Former “Vanderpump Rules” star Stassi Schroeder gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Hartford, in January.
Schroeder and husband Beau Clark welcomed Hartford Charlie Rose at 6:57 p.m. Jan. 7, a rep for the couple told People. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 3 ounces.
The two names honor Clark’s father and Schroeder’s grandmother, respectively.
