Lockdown has been extended for a week in Delhi amid the second wave of Coronavirus in the country. Earlier, the lockdown was to remain in effect till Monday morning, but in view of the present situation of COVID-19, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced to further extend the lockdown. While there is also a shortage of beds in hospitals, at many places, patients have died due to lack of oxygen. Hearing COVID-19 related cases today, the Delhi High Court has ordered the central government to supply 490 metric tonnes of oxygen to Delhi. 375 patients had died due to Coronavirus infection in Delhi, while 27,047 new cases were reported on Friday.
