Thalapathy Vijay to collaborate with THIS national-award winning filmmaker for his next? Here’s what we know

The megastar of Kollywood, Thalapathy Vijay seems to be one of the busiest stars of the entertainment industry. While the actor is currently busy with Thalapathy 65, which is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, the latest reports suggest that he is collaborating with producer Dil Raju for Thalapathy 67, which will be a pan-south film. This film will go on floors after he wraps up Thalapathy 66, which will be bankrolled by his Master producer, Lalit Kumar (7 Screen Studio). Talking about the Thalapathy 67, Dil Raju is arranging meeting with several filmmakers and the story which Vijay has liked till now is of Vamshi Paidipally, who narrated him an action-packed thriller, which also has social elements. We are expecting more narrations in the upcoming weeks and once the final draft gets locked, the makers will announce the project officially. Coming back to Thalalapathy 65, AR Murugadoss was earlier on board for the film but due to the creative differences, he opted out of the project and Nelson Dilipkumar's project was approved by the Sun Pictures. The film marks the fourth collaboration between Thalapathy Vijay and Sun Pictures after Vettaikaaran, Sura and Sarkar. The film also stars Pooja Hegde in a lead role. On the other hand, Nelson is waiting for the release of his venture Doctor, which stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. It marks the Kollywood debut of Priyanka Mohan, who was seen in Nani's Tollywood film Gang Leader.
