On Wednesday, the Central government has removed the Z-category security cover of Mukul Roy, who recently left the BJP and joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal. According to government sources, the order was issued yesterday by the Ministry of Home Affairs to remove the security. The central security of Mukul Roy’s son Shubhranshu was withdrawn last Saturday. After joining West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s TMC, Mukul Roy on Saturday had written to the Home Ministry asking to withdraw the CRPF security. He has been provided Y grade security by the West Bengal government since last Friday.
