US-based Pipeline Health System has announced a partnership with technology-enabled healthcare company Premier to improve operations and margins across its seven hospitals in the country.
As per the agreement, Pipeline Health will be able to use Premier’s offerings such as group purchasing organisation (GPO), supply analytics and PINC AI Margin Improvement technology.
The agreement is expected to come into effect early next year.
Pipeline Health will also make use of Premier’s consolidated subsidiary Conductiv, which will help support third-party services optimisation programme.
Additionally, Pipeline Health will access Conductiv Contracts, and Conductiv’s artificial intelligence (AI)-based analytics.
Conductiv Contracts is a GPO for third party services, while Conductiv’s AI-based analytics platform comes with built in subject matter expert support.
Premier’s PINC AI technology is available with procure-to-pay (P2P) cloud-based platform Remitra, which has been developed to automate manual payment as well as invoicing processes to save time of suppliers and health care providers.
Pipeline Health chief financial officer Robert Allen said: “Today, building healthier communities requires comprehensive and technology-enabled solutions to manage the vital products and resources we need to best serve our patients.
“Pipeline Health is committed to providing quality patient care to the communities we are privileged to serve. Our goal with Premier is to partner in ways that will help us optimize performance and drive innovation in the fulfillment of our mission.”
Pipeline Health and Premier have not disclosed the financial terms of the partnership.
Premier chief customer officer Andy Brailo said: “Premier’s comprehensive supply chain services and PINC AI technology suite will help Pipeline Health thrive in today’s and tomorrow’s healthcare environment – enabling them to streamline operations, drive performance improvement and manage supply chain costs all in one place.”
Pipeline Health operates an independent hospital network across California, Texas, and Illinois.
