Recent partnerships with medical device companies include Johnson & Johnson, Stryker and Smith & Nephew. Raven Biomaterials received investment from Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania to support the development, test, and prep for manufacturing magnetic beads to separate biological components out of blood. The company’s first application seeks to improve cell therapeutic manufacturing for cancer treatment, increasing the yield of targeted cell material at a significantly lower cost than current methods.
